Great place to eat, very popular, food great, staff are very friendly and accommodating, very clean and a great atmosphere would highly recommend even to people just passing through, stop and have a cuppa and a slice of cake for the craic.

We cycled the royal canal from Clondara(Clondra as per the locals) to Keenagh and found Macks shack. The staff were very friendly, the food was really nice , the place was very clean and it was very reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again.

Two friends and myself came to this establishment after sleeping off 9 hours of jet lag. We were hungry and needed a hot meal to fill our bellies. How fortunate we were to find the Macs Shack.Breakfast for dinner is always a treat but this was special. Our first official meal in Ireland. What an excellent start to the trip. The food was delicious. Fresh ingredients, all locally sourced, cooked on the spot. The owners were gracious, courteous, and welcoming. We talked a full 30 minutes after the meal, providing places and advice for our trip. Highly recommended.

We recently had a family get together & ordered various hot & cold food : sweet & savoury, including vegetarian options.It was excellent value, generous portions & freshly cooked for collection. Delighted with the service & highly recommend.

Popped in yesterday and had the bacon and cabbage, delicious, bacon was falling off the fork, parsley sauce was homemade and so tasty, big portions too!
